It may surprise some of you that I actually began studying after high school. I think it was the idea of having to pay for classes in college that made me realize I should probably learn something while I was there. I received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Aurora University, and an MBA from Northern Illinois University. I passed the CPA exam, and worked for Deloitte & Touche for about nine years. After that, I had various financial-type jobs, much of the time in the medical industry. My latest gig was as the chief financial officer of a large medical group with 500 physicians. I'm now semi-retired, and do a little financial consulting occasionally.

I moved to Orange County, California in 1979, and since then I've spent as much time as possible outside in the usually wonderful Southern California weather. I currently live in Huntington Harbor with my wife, Julie, and our seven year old daughter, Katarina.

Although I wasn't a model student in high school, I really appreciate and I'm thankful for some of the great teachers we had at East Aurora High who didn't give up on me. (Okay, I'll admit it. Not all of them were that great.) Best wishes to you all, and have a great time at the reunion.
