This year's Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony will be held May 9, 2008,
at East Aurora High School Alumni Hall at 10:00 A.M. There will be a Luncheon at 11:30 A.M.
The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to East Aurora graduates who have distinguished themselves in one or more of the following areas: academic, the arts, business, community service, literary, professional, public service, scientific, and service to country.
Nominees should be worthy of special honor or recognition, and have been a graduate of East high for more than 20 years. The committee will choose five honorees per year.
Nominations should be presented with information and biographical facts to support the recommendation and sent to John Roesch.

This year's honorees are:
- Donald C. Buhrmann (Class of 1938) - Pasadena, CA
Commercial artist. We will see a 2 minute DVD of his artwork
- Richard Paul Foth-M.D. (Class of 1948) - Aurora, IL
Graduated Med school 5th in the class. Practiced medicine here in Aurora; Football & Basketball
doctor who attended all games from 1962 to 1987.
- Maureen McDonough Gillette (Class of 1971) - Chicago, IL
PhD Dean of Education at Northeastern University
- Paul J. Meisch (Class of 1983) - St. Louis, MO
Retired Commander U.S. Navy;
Graduated Naval Academy in 1987 with a Bachelors degree
in History; Served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm
